TACFIT Team Leader, CST Coach and North American Regional Director Gwint Fisher put together a mobility and compensation training program to address a number potential needs: Intuflow Daily Double.
Entry Level Mobility Flow
The Daily Double is ideal for those new to the TACFIT and CST family of programs or those who have begun training in this system and find themselves struggling with some of the entry level movements. Coach Gwint Fisher provides very accessible morning mobility drills to awaken the nervous system and work on the mobility restrictions typical in a modern sedentary or over specialized lifestyle. The evening compensation sessions build strength while releasing the residual tensions built up during the day’s activities and inactivity. The morning sessions are a short 12 minutes which should fit into even the busiest of schedules and an ideal form of “zero hour” exercise to be done upon waking before your morning meal. The evening compensatory stretching sessions are also about 12 minutes and end with a 4-5 minute autogenic shutdown breathing drill that will prime the body and mind for a restful sleep. Making time for the Daily Double will more than make up for itself in more restful sleep and more productive waking hours.
Veteran Athletes Remove Your Sticking Points with Intuflow
For the more seasoned TACFIT or CST athlete the Daily Double provides a much more extensive set of mobility and compensation drills that encompass six levels of progression targeted at the most stubborn mobility restrictions around the hips, glutes, core, and lats. If you find yourself struggling to progress from Level 2 to Level 3 in TACFIT 26 or TACFIT Commando it is highly likely you have uncovered some stubborn mobility restrictions, sensory motor amnesia, or intrinsic muscle weakness (or all three). The Daily Double is complementary to Recuper8, Progressive Yoga Series, and Six Degree Flow by fitting somewhere in between, similar to the CST Mobility/Workers Comp video but more comprehensive with its six levels of progression. Boost Your Daily Hormone Pulse
There is an additional hormonal benefit to following this Intuflow AM and PM protocol. The mobility exercises in the morning help boost your natural awakening hormonal pulse. the movement helps move cortisol throughout the body, the motor control of the movements and slightly elevated heart rate boost dopamine. In the evening the compensatory stretching releases residual tension assisting the normal drop in cortisol, the synchronized breath and autogenic breathing shutdown drill assists the normal boost in serotonin to ensure a restful sleep. The right movements, at the right intensity, at the right time, will reinforce (or normalize) your body’s daily hormone cycle.
