Daniel Markert is a 25 year veteran of the California Army National Guard. As an infantry officer he has commanded at the company and battalion level and served as a combat advisor to the Afghanistan National Security Forces in the mountains of eastern Afghanistan in 2010-2011. A certified TACFIT instructor since 2012, he has applied TACFIT to various units and individual personnel to reduce injuries and increase operational performance. Both as a competitor and program manager for the California National Guard Combat Shooting Team and Biathlon Team, Daniel has experience applying the principles of TACFIT and Clubbell Athletics to pre-season, in season, and post season training plans for competitive athletes. As a career infantry officer Daniel has experience not only in training physical and tactical skills for high performance but also the mental and leadership skills required to be unconquerable under the most arduous conditions.
